Training CenterSince 2002, Energy Systems has provided Generac factory training in their state-of-the-art classroom and training lab. As the first dealer to offer field training outside the factory, instructors Bryan Cox and Greg Larsen have over 40 years of combined experience with Generac products and have taught hundreds of students.

Energy Systems offers this precise factory training at its Stockton headquarters through six different classes (see below). After completing the first course in Air Cooled education, the student receives their Tech-ID number, allowing them to further advance in the Generac Training Program. All training materials, as well as breakfast, lunch and refreshments are included. Hotel accommodations are not included. Please come prepared, there will be homework every night.

This course is a mandatory prerequisite for technicians wanting to advance in the Generac Training Program. The Air Cooled training course runs 16 hours: 8 hours of classroom curriculum and 8 hours of hands-on instruction and final test.
Cost: $475

You must complete and pass both the hands-on training and final test in order to receive certificate and Tech-ID number. This class is offered to the general public, however non-dealers will not receive certification or Tech-ID number.

This course is an accelerated version of the traditional 2-Day Air Cooled training. Meant for the technician that already works on the product daily, this class is only for advanced students who can pass the hands-on training and final test without instruction. Open to current Generac Dealers only (Guardian, Commercial and Industrial).

Prerequisite: Air Cooled Training
This course focuses on liquid cooled  gaseous products up to 60kW. Electrical and power basics, gaseous fuels, installation, R-Panel troubleshooting are also covered. The Commercial 1 training course runs a total of 16 hours: 8 hours of classroom curriculum and 8 hours of hands-on training. Successful completion of this class allows you work on 60kW and below gaseous configured products. Open to current Generac Dealers only (Guardian, Commercial and Industrial).

Prerequisite: Commercial 1 Training
This course focuses on liquid cooled gaseous products configured up to 150kW. Current lineup of generators and transfer switches will be covered extensively. Please come prepared with laptop computer and expect homework every night. The Commercial 2 training course runs a total of 40 hours: 20 hours of classroom curriculum and 20 hours of hands-on training. Successful completion of this class allows you to work on 150kW and below gaseous configured products. Open to current Generac Dealers only (Guardian, Commercial and Industrial).

This course allows the technician to maintain their Commercial 2 status. Every 2 years, the technician is required to attend an update course in order to maintain their status. This class covers all new and current products. The Commercial Update course runs 16 hours: 8 hours of classroom curriculum and 8 hours of hands-on training. Please come prepared, a laptop computer is required. Open to current Generac Dealers only (Guardian, Commercial and Industrial).

This course allows the technician to maintain their Industrial status. Every 2 years, the technician is required to attend an update course in order to maintain their status. Industrial training is offered exclusively at Generac; this locally-based course only updates technicians in order to maintain Industrial status. This class covers all new and current products. The Industrial Update course runs 16 hours: 8 hours of classroom curriculum and 8 hours of hands-on training. Please come prepared, a laptop computer is required. Open to current Generac Industrial dealers only.

This course allows the technician to maintain their MPS and Master certification. Every 2 years, the technician is required to attend an update course in order to maintain their status. MPS and Master training is offered exclusively at Generac; this locally-based course only updates technicians in order to maintain their MPS and Master status. This class covers all new and current products. The MPS Update course runs 40 hours.
